A question...

In Exodus 9, God sends a plague on the Egyptians that causes all their livestock to die. Later in the same chapter, he sends another plague, this time of hail. The Egyptians are told to bring all their livestock in from the fields, otherwise the hail will kill them. But aren't all the Egyptian livestock already dead? Is it understood that a significant time has passed between plagues? Or did the Egyptians pinch livestock from the Israelites?
